I’ve registered an interest in the event. What happens now?

How much does the trip cost?
The cost depends on whether you are part of a corporate team building or leadership adventure. The price also varies for single and double occupancy bookings, so message us and we can give more details.

I want to bring a corporate trip – how will this work?
With corporate escapaholics adventures, you can either bring your team on one of our standard adventures, book the whole event for your company or ask us to devise an Escapaholic adventure just for you. This can be to one of our usual destinations or we can dream up some other crazy itinerary. Our corporate trips include bespoke motivational and team leadership training, courses and insights to create a company development package.
I am travelling on my own – can I still come?
Of course. Escapaholics all tend to be like minded adventurers, looking for something different. You will make new friends and help / be helped in various challenges. We take small groups where everyone gets to know each other, but still with your own downtime, when needed.
Are there age restrictions?
The youngest Escapaholic adventurer we have taken was 16 and the oldest, mid sixties.
What vaccinations are required?
This depends on where we go. For India – generally hepatitis A, tetanus and typhoid. You can consider rabies – but we try and keep the monkeys away. For Borneo, you may also consider hepatitis B. All our current destinations are considered low risk for malaria.
Do you organise flights?
For individual Escapaholics, we normally leave adventurers to book their own flights, but will recommend options and flight times. As a rule, the earlier you book flights, the cheaper it is. For our corporate escapaholics, we can include a flight package.
What do we need to bring?
What you need, depends on your Escapaholic destination. You will need casual clothes for when we are ‘round about town’ and obviously your best and most tasteless
Hawaiian shirt. You will need warm weather gear for the mountains, appropriate tech tops and waterproofs for the jungle etc. Advice on a full kit list will be given on registration.
Do I need a visa?
Visas are required for India and Vietnam and for Borneo (Malaysia) visas are given on arrival. Further details and advice will be provided.
What will the weather be like?
Vietnam and Borneo – generally hot and steamy. For India, temperatures in Delhi might be upto 40C and down to -10C in the mountains, or may be down to -25C in Ladakh at night.
How high do we go in the mountains?
Our usual Himalayan trip will take you to around 4,400m (14,400ft), whilst Ladakh is as high as 5,400m (17,500ft.) At these elevations there is a risk of AMS, (Acute Mountain Sickness) so we always acclimatise and set our trekking pace appropriately.
Do I need insurance?
Yes – you will need travel insurance with an addition to cover trekking at high altitude in India.
How fit do I need to be?
Relatively fit and healthy. We will be trekking in a tough environment, whether the heat sapping jungles of Borneo of the steep mountains of the Himalaya. But we wont be running – so just a good all round fitness.
What is the accommodation like?
Hotels range from ‘Top End’ such as the Pulman Hotel in Kuching and the Maidens Hotel in Delhi, to bivy bags, bashas and tents on the mountain and in the jungle.
How many people are on a trip?
We max out at 12 people for an adventure, plus your Escapaholic Team and guides.
